Cummins Engine Fuel System Maintenance Precautions

1) Use only high quality and proper viscosity diesel.
The diesel label is required to be at least 6 ° C below the ambient temperature.
2) Use only Cummins-approved Fleetguard filters and replace the filter immediately according to the recommended cycle. Do not use low-quality non-Cummins filters, otherwise it will cause severe early wear of fuel pumps and injectors. Use a clean fuel to add a new fuel filter and lubricate the O-ring with clean oil. Install the fuel filter according to the filter manufacturer’s specifications.
3) When changing the filter, be careful not to allow dirt to enter the fuel system.
4) Remove the water and sediment in the oil-water separator everyday.
5) Keep the fuel tank cover work properly; regularly check the fuel tank, once tank is found to be dirty, immediate cleaning is needed.
